Been fairly lucky myself, have been to at least one test almost every year since 1998 but most of the great batsmen have tended to let me down. Saw Lara twice and he did not get into double figures, was there when Tendulkar make that 80 on his last appearance in England but Amit Mishra batted better.
Yeah I have been pretty lucky. First ever ODI Viv scored 100 in 1984. But the best ODI batting display was Gilchrist 154 against Sri Lanka and after Gilly hit this huge 6 straight down the ground at the mcg about 30 rows back Arivinda Da Silva at the drinks break went over to gilly and was looking at his bat for about a good 2 minutes. Best Boxing day test was 2003 for me against india. Sehwag makes 190 odd then Harden gets Ton then Ponting gets 250 something by this stage me and the boys are pissed hot and in awe of what were watching poor kumble Gets 6 wickets for like 200 then Dravid gets out at 90 odd in 2nd innings it was some great great batting.
I dunno you can make quite a good team with decent international experience.The only proper cricket match I have ever been at is this one. Hard to make an XI of it Im afraid
