Question- what is the last test hundred made without wearing a helmet?

They all wear helmets though because visiting bowlers are sometimes a bit quick.

I can't recall Arthurton ever wearing a lid tbh.

He wasn't often at the crease long enough for me to notice tbf.

Yeah didnt make many tons in tests. Wore a helmet at the end of his career too, but no visor.

didnt somebody call for a hat to score the ton (im thinking of an aussie here) and then get out without getting it? and went ages before actually getting one

When Lara had that monster series in Sri Lanka, did he bat without a helmet for much of his innings?

There must have been many hundreds made in Asia, and elsewhere, when the batsman started off wearing a helmet but changed it to a cap or sunhat when the spinners were on. That used to be quite common. Now batsmen are apparently terrified of being hit on the head by a ball from Ashwin or Ojha.
Top edge of sweep into face is a risk tbf
