Sammy's buoying up his team, as well he should. Shillingford and Narine are not reasons to produce seaming wickets.

Fellas!!..it does seem to be at the back of the kiwis minds where are spinners are concerned...Mccullum was even talking about it the other day and trying some "reverse psychology"..claiming "he would be happy for us to play two spinners"..the truth is though Shilly left the NZ top order with a bloody nose towards the end of that first test. Throw in Narine to back him up..who let us remember terrorised the Nz the last time he faced them, then things could get very interesting..the key for us using them two will be what happens later on in the piece..if NZ are chasing anything above 200 on a 5th day pitch against those guys then boy there will be fireworks :D .

Sammy is feeling pretty confident, though he appears to be wrong we prepared the green top on purpose. Apparently this is the first time in a few years the groundsman hasn't fielded a call from NZC according to the clip Bahnz posted a few pages back which begs the question, why were we requesting filthy roads?

Now would be a good time for Wagner to take up Sammy's challenge and back up Southee and Boult with the ball.

That's pretty obvious, the last 2 seasons we hosted the 2 best teams in the world with better strength in our own area if strength.

NZC were happy 0-0 or 0-1 (and so was I tbh, despite frustrations last season of England's second inningses at Dunedin and Auckland).

Between the last time NZ faced WI they traveled to India and faced Ojha and Ashwin, went to Sri Lanka and faced the world's best spin bowler (Rangana Herath), and faced a barrage of Bangladeshi spinners in their home conditions - including Sohak Gazi who is a very similar bowler to Shillingford.

Shillingford is still more threatening than the pace bowlers but I wouldn't get too over-hyped about his 4 wickets on day 5. They were all gifted to him.

Pretty average, very overcast and gloomy. No rain yet, but wouldn't be surprised jf we get one or two stoppages. Very much win the toss and bowl conditions.

Huge toss to win for the WI.

I'm actually thinking that Gabriel could be very dangerous on this pitch. Also, Sammy will be a handful.

Our pace bowlers are so rubbish. If you can't move the ball in these conditions you never will.
