Yeah I really don't think it's a good idea, especially since the rationale seems to be World Cup based. Raina at four in Australia would really not be a good idea IMO. I'd more be looking at getting Pujara into the top order as a backup play for Yuvraj.

I'd rather have Pujara opening in OD cricket than at 4 tbh. Though i agree, Raina at 4 isn't a good idea at all in Australia even more so if you are going to have Jadeja at 7.

Might as well give someone like Rayudu a chance to establish himself in the middle order or maybe Rahane. Gambhir in the middle order has worked in Australia previously too IIRC.

Yeah me too, I'd probably put him at 3 and have Kohli at 4 if Yuvraj got dropped. The point I was making is that India should be looking to have four genuine top order batsmen for the World Cup rather than just starting the finishers at four. Even Yuvraj himself is a stretch but Raina is really pushing it.

Yuvraj has done that successfully for more than a decade. He can hit six sixes in an over in a Twenty20, but he also makes sure he lasts long enough to get the big scores that win ODI games. That necessitates controlling the urge to deposit one more over midwicket. It needs one to duck under a few short balls early on rather than try to work them for singles, one of Raina's preferred ways of handling the bouncer barrage he usually faces.
Yuvraj the shining example of how to handle short pitched bowling

2nd game tonight both teams unchanged? Haddin wanted to know how to cook asparagus and Faulkner replied with two tips. However, Haddin has come out smelling like roses so he's in. I was actually impressed with Hughes with the gloves. Is he the new Paul Collingwood?

India should replace Sharma and that would be an improvement. I would stick with their battling line up atm, a few didn't click the other night but they may do well tonight. Interesting to see if Bailey and Finch can continue their good form.
