Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

What exactly is wrong with Ashwin's comments? If Gibbs had not been a cheating **** he would not have opened the door to such banter. Is it not socially acceptable to tell the truth anymore?

You can do even better than that: June 1922, Derbyshire v Warwickshire: at one point Billy and Robert Bestwick were bowling to Willie and Bernard Quaife.

There's an article here about the game which also lists some other father-son pairs who played in the same match. (As you suggested, it's not very common).

Cricket NSW photographer has drop boxed over 700 pics of the Green Shield final. Fmd some of them are brilliant.

I might be judging him harshly based on limited knowledge, but why on Earth would someone want to appoint Gibbs as a coach?

Guys, you can't possibly comprehend the pressure he was under. Totally unique in the annals of cricket.

Shami's central contract has been witheld due to allegations of domestic abuse

Bhuvi gets an A+ contract, wag. Dhoni gets an A, probably out of respect more than anything.

Just been reading about an unusual match from 1887, and should have been proof that smoking wasn't a good thing:

Actually proof that there were sometimes really, really flat pitches even then. I doubt Lohmann too often went 0-113. Scotton was given out handled the ball after hitting the final delivery away and then chasing after it and collecting it as a souvenir.
