    Best front-foot batsman ever?

I don't think this topic has been covered in a while.

Who is the master of the off-drive, the bane of McGrath, the taunter of the slip cordon?
He bowls to the left, he bowls to the right, but when he bowls at the stumps, he makes England look ****e!

My Modern Test XI (since 2000): AN Cook, GC Smith (c), HM Amla, KC Sangakkara (w), MJ Clarke, IR Bell, S Watson, GP Swann, VD Philander, DW Steyn, JM Anderson.

    Should be a random Indian.

I'd say Vinod Kambli and Suresh Raina for a start.
Member of the Sanga fan club. (Ugh! it took me so long to become a real fan of his)

I assume that's a hilarious joke on your part. I'm certainly laughing.

John Crawley; looked comfortable against all bowlers till you bowled back of a length around offstump.

And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

I think his struggles late on with full straight balls that moved away/held there line discount him. He never sorted his bat coming down pointing at Mid-On rather than straight.
