Haha yep, they're ripping Mitchell's chip down long on's throat after a 12-run over too.

pleasantly surprised cachopa hasn't been hit on the body yet during this series. it's in india tbf but considering 120kph bouncers from plunket part timers can worry him...

the real question is can we score 40 more runs without losing a wicket?

edit: gagf

remember when john wright banned lofted shots at practice during the 2011 world cup?

something similar might be required for this lot

Praising Chops' sensible high-percentage gameplan re: the spinners a lot. Begrudging 'yeah, but you're so....' looks from the sheds as he gets to 50.

Useful innings from Cachopa though needs a hundred to get us remotely near a competitive score. Indian pitches suit him for obvious reasons against pace, but can assume he's not completely lost against spin like some of our others are.

Odds on Ellis getting out between 15 and 20?

"there is no point in looking good but being ****."

Ellis showed me. 29*

From the commentary Cachopa was struggling towards the end. Holes out for 80 - gives some respectability but this is still going to be a poor score of probs 230-240.

Oh ****, that's the most brazen charge and slog seven down in the 44th I've ever seen. :laugh:

Thought it was a bit too nonpartisan for a must-win Bradburn side. Actually it's Kuggs, they just got Tastle's hopes up to stamp on them.
@captainshanky
@PlunketPromise Apologies. It's Kuggeleijn. Went by the scorer's word. Official team sheet lists Astle as 12th man.
@Chandan3
Why are they not giving chance to Astle? He is such a talented spinner and bowled so well in the longer format @PlunketPromise @captainshanky

"Cachopa looks the best batsman on display on this tour for NZ A".

:toot:

New Elliott. Our short stuff meme will actually make it to the big stage.

Sounds like pretty dumb dismissals by Mitchell & Kugs, in context.

This isn't Ford Trophy with no on watching, no one televising etc. a couple years worth of career can be impacted by decisions made in these sorts of matches. From a player development and opportunity POV, this stuff matters. Thumbs down.

so was gillespie's first over as good as cricinfo made it sound?

edit: judging by that second over..

Actually, bit of an over reaction by myself. Got to allow some room for 'development' experience

Two dropped catches inside the first 6 overs. The standard of fielding amongst non-international players is so poor.

Sort of getting there Gillespie, neither "booming" nor booming through the crease, maybe 135 pace. Just got a wicket there with his first non-scrambled seam ball, outswinger.

Milne looking tremendous.

if we could catch india would be under some pressure. nice to hear milne is bowling really well and gillespie is getting there.
