***Official*** Pakistan in Zimbabwe

sit back, relax, and watch on in awe as Pakistan's two most exciting and free-flowing batsmen take apart quality international bowlers

Pakistan batting is just so stupidly ridiculously bad. Misbah to the rescue even against Zimbos. Good Lord

wow, only the dud keeper and the bowlers to come now, even if Pakistan declared now they would still get a first innings lead though, this is just for pride and practise

It's actually so frustrating that Zimbabwe's attack is doing well here.

The spinner sounds pretty decent, at least he can hold up an end much better than Cremer, can't complain with 2 wickets either

Yeah he's not terrible. The point of Cremer was that he could actually get batsmen out without them having to really make errors against him and while that arguably wasn't as valuable overall as what Utseya or Lamb could offer when the fans were optimistic about the Jarvis-Meth-Shingi attack, I did think it'd be important with the new ball combination much less potent in this game.

He's definitely not a big turner of the ball but he's extremely accurate and he's no darter; he varies his flight very well. Funnily enough I don't think I've ever seen Brian Lara struggle more against a spin bowler than he struggled against Utseya in ODIs. His record doesn't show it but he really can bat as well. He actually made his Test debut all those years ago as a specialist batsman at six; he goes through little periods of form with the bat that make you think a big domestic season of run-scoring is just around the corner, and his domestic side regularly experimenting with him as high as number 5 will attest to that. Given he's 28 now, plays his cricket in Zimbabwe and has only scored one First Class hundred, the dream is probably over as far as being a batsman goes, but it wouldn't surprise me if he dug in with the bat in this game. I'm actually more optimistic about him contributing something with the bat here than some of the middle order

Cremer also a decent batsman tbh, really worried about the openers however, a lot will depend on Hamilton Maza is Zim are gonna put a decent score up IMO.

Oh God, this Pakistan side is so bad.......why do I keep following it.....ugh
They'll still win, my good man. Zimbabwe have wasted this good bowling performance in a match they have no batsmen in (for various reasons). You'd have cause for concern if even one of Taylor or Williams were playing but Zimbabwe have got nothing in the batting for this game.
