Current English County Cricket Draft

theegyptian

International Vice-Captain
Reece Topley - Left arm and Tall, swings the red ball, good variation with the white ball. What's not to like.

Couple of great picks still available but I've already filled my quota of whatever in my team.

****, I thought it was 16 domestic + 2 overseas. Oh well, just means I don't grab a couple of depth players.

This was my intention.

As written in the op

6 or 8 Participants each draft a squad of 16 English domestic qualified players + 2 overseas players drafted in final two rounds
So three more domestic player rounds. Sorry for any confusion.

With the overseas players the first one selected (in round 17) is your player for the whole season to play in all competitions. You can pick anyone from world cricket. The second (round18) will only be available for the T20 so should be a t20 specialist.

I was banking on having second pick of the overseas tbh.
OK i'm happy keeping it that way as I didn't write about any of that in the op and you'd clearly thought about it. Tbh I wrote a big list of the english players but I really haven't thought at all about the overseas player.

Gareth Batty- combative and aggresive. Spin the ball the opposite way to Kerrigan so a good option as 2nd spinner in first class cricket and is a much better OD bowler than Kerrigan. Can hold a bat which most of my bowlers can't and field reasonably well.

My squad possibly has a few too many old timers in the field, so would have preffered Rafiq but alas he went this past round.

International Coach
Paul Collingwood. Still a very solid contributor in List A and T20.

List A:
1. Alastair Cook
2. Craig Kieswetter
3. Dawid Malan
4. James Taylor
5. Paul Collingwood
6. Steven Crook
7. David Willey
8. Chris Jordan
9. Michael Hogan
10.

T20:
1. Alastair Cook
2. Craig Kieswetter
3. Dawid Malan
4. James Taylor
5. Paul Collingwood
6. Steven Crook
7. David Willey
8. Chris Jordan
9. Michael Hogan
10. Azeem Rafiq
11. Boyd Rankin

Unsure about my best lineup in List A/T20. Is Ashwell Prince good enough to force his way into the side?

Anthony Ireland - For two reasons. One, he's played for my club. Two, he actually had a pretty decent T20 this year.
