Oh, its nothing to be worried about...

Can't Tendulkar be entitled to one lousy season??

He's averaging like 65 in ODI Cricket in 2003, and recently was Man of the Tournament in the WC 2003 at South Africa.

Even greats like Greg Chappell, Brian Lara, Viv Richards have had poor patches of form. It happens with everyone.

But even whilst watching Australia A play India, Tendulkar really seemed to be timing the ball well and hitting it well. A big score seems just around the corner.

And Sachin loves the MCG too, so im sure he will be amongst the runs on Boxing Day.

Is that recent? does 10 months mean anything?

And besides, the Aussies are probably pleased about it, not worrying. After all, it's them he's playing now:P

Well Halsley, you do have a point. It was 10 months ago. But he got some sizzling centuries against Australia and New Zealand a month ago in the TVS Cup.

Im sure you were watching that series.

Anyway, Tendulkar is too experienced and too intelligent a cricketer to let a run of bad form bother him. He knows what he is doing, and I think come Boxing Day - he will be in the runs once again.

Yes, you're probably right. He has had a couple of 20's and 30's recently, and then given it away with stupid shots (notably that leave from Stuart MacGill, lbw plumb infront)

I didn't mean anything by the post, it was quite simply a light-hearted look at how a guy who can't really bat is out scoring one of the best in the world.

Lol... That is quite funny. Maybe Murali should work on his batting? I dont think anyone would dispute the legality of those hoiks over midwicket! Great village stuff...:D

Ahhh yes, it all makes sense now.
I wonder if Sachin knows this? Perhaps he can give Murali a call?

well Ajit Agarkar scored a test hundred against England -- so read into that as you will :D

What's also amusing is that in the India-Australia averages, published in the Sydney Morning Herald today, Sachin Tendulkar has a bowling average in the mid twenties and I believe has the second lowest bowling average amongst both teams for the series.

Who has the best? Is it Katich. If it is, then it's funny that the 2 part-timers are statiscally the two best bowlers in the series so far

Some other interesting little stats from this year.

Steve Waugh has taken more test wickets than Shane Warne :O

Simon Katich has taken nearly twice as many wickets at half the average of Harbajan Singh.

Katich also has the 2nd best figures by a spinner in a test match this year (6-65 v Zimbabwe at Sydney)

Matthew Hayden scored over 3 times Tendulkar's aggregate this year in just 1 innings.

Shane Warne consumed 1348 pizza's over the course of 2003.

I have been asleep for over 58% of this year.

*voice trails off into the distance*

That has to be some sort of record , more litres of VB consumed than balls bowled over the course of a calender year.

Breaking Boonie's record from 1993.
