I heard about this about an hour ago, and somehow the moment I saw the thread title I knew it'd be about this.

Mr Browne said Nine understood CA had to rest some players "to give them longevity in their careers but they also understand we’ve got to have the best players on the paddock to rate".
well that's the main thing isn't it

If you're Jesus, you must need a thousand years sleep every night, with the way the world is.

Channel Nine selecting the team can't be a bad thing. Chappeli, Taylor and Richie would do a cracker job.

Channel 9 will no doubt want the entertainment factor, and I couldn't give two ****s if they select the entire T20 side and half the 50 over side if they want to.

Grubby commercialism should always be separate to test cricket though. Test cricket should be retained as one of the very last sacred things we have in society.

Nah, it's another great reason to take the piss out of the Laughing Stock that is Oz.

Kylie and Danii, to oipen, better for team spirit than Warner & Watto anyway. More entertaining than Cowan too.

Still an issue imo. The C9 MD isn't making these comments for ****s and giggles. Discussions are being had. There's just no "official policy" which allows CA to say that they aren't listening to any outside influence when making selection.
