T Mac not converting a 30 into a ton. Going to keep an eye out for flying pigs.

Papps be Pappsing. Bennett only getting 6 overs so far must be right up his alley. Wonder if the Cantabs fell into the Brett Lee fallacy and bowled too short.

Bit of a difference in strike rate between Papps and Murdoch, it must be said.

I'm guessing Papps is seeing the ball pretty well right now.

ND about to cop a Double Barrelled Colin Assualt 70 overs in. Auckland have this in the bag.

It's starting to get quite annoying that pitches are holding together so well on day 4.

Karori Park where the Wellington match is being held wouldn't have struck me as a particularly 'flat' pitch in the past but it clearly hasn't broken up much if at all.

Pretty funny that the only match that ends in a result is the one where the fewest wickets are taken (just 17!).

    Also, gotta feel for Young.

At the end of FC fixtures for a wee while, leading runscorers:
    Papps 654 @ 109
    Guptill 613 @ 102.16
    Ryder 573 @ 71.62
    Pollard 464 @ 66.28
    Flynn 445 @ 44.50
    Latham 420 @ 84
    Brownlie 403 @ 40.30
    Raval 396 @ 49.50
    Remond 387 @ 43

    Bowlers:
    Bennett 24 @ 23.12
    McKay 21 @ 31.76
    Gillespie 19 @ 42.26
    Arnel 16 @ 40.37
    Neesham 15 @ 22.20
    Astle 15 @ 32.80
    Kuggeleijn 13 @ 37.60
    Patel 15 @ 45.93
    Bates 13 @ 27
    Wells 13 @ 32.76
    Henry 12 @ 28.25
    Vettori 11 @ 34.81

Considering there is a tour match vs 'Indians' before first test, if it was one of those composite XI of First and Second choice players, I'd be keen to see:

    Rutherford
    Guptill
    Papps
    Latham
    Ryder
    McCullum
    de Boorder+
    Vettori
    Sodhi
    Wagner
    Bennett

We probs won't get Guptill, Papps or Bennett given a round of PS finishes a day before this starts but that'd be my XI to test out/get form/reward.

Proudly against the bring back Bennett movement since he is injury prone and won't last 5 days.

Yeah and a third of Neesham's wickets come from ODI slog shots by ND's batsmen in that game where they were chasing 150 odd in 20 odd overs. Bennett is head and shoulders above every other non-international.

    Yup.

Tough on Gillespie to come up against ATG Tom Latham but I can't see him getting another look in with those figures. Henry not bad.
