In a perfect world I'd agree, but it's simply too hard for the umpire to judge on the fly and would result in a load of confusion over a pretty small matter of a few runs.

I think bowlers should use a big plastic spoon to make the ball come out faster and bouncier too.

No just no. The length of the pitch is incredibly important to give bowlers a consistent variable to practise too. Bowlers already have to adjust to different bounce in different pitches, variable lengths would make it near impossible for bowlers to learn to hit a good line and length.

The ground size hardly influences the play in contrast

Long-standing opinion of mine I'd like to see it legal to alter the condition of the ball.

So just bring out half of a swing king and glue it to the ball?

    -y stupid.

Its to about speeding it up through stupid rule changes that add nothing other than gimmicks to the Test game. We have something for gimmicks its called T20 we do not need it in the format that is supposed to test the players.

Batsman run out after a maiden? Seriously? Seriously?

Say that again in 10 years. It will still be a dodgy rule change.

@OP Wow, all those sounds absolutly awful... especially the maiden over rule. Imagine what would have happened if it had been implemented... We'd have had no Atherton vs Donald, Sachin vs Steyn etc... Stupidest. Idea. EVER. Goes against the very essence of great test cricket

A few obvious ones i'd change are:

    1. No leg-byes... not good enough to hit the ball, you don't get runs you ****
    2. Ball should be dead after stumps have been hit by a fielder... getting punished for fielding well? wtf
    3. Allow more than just 10 overs per bowler in ODIs... maybe 12 or even 15

    1) Remove "hit wicket" rule..
    2) Bring back unlimited bouncer rule..
    3) i don't like the ricochet of the bowlers hand and getting run-out at the non-striker end ..can we change that?..most depressing way to get out for a non-striker..
    4) no leg-side bowling in test cricket to avoid defeat/draw/someone from scoring..Defining it could be an issue

Could you explain on this point?
Remember I am not very familiar to Cricket (I have only watched a few games on TV).

    Cricket balls should be soft

Cricket balls should be soft (like Tennis-ball, Kwik Cricket ballor, or Baseball gum-ball).
If balls are soft, there will be no necessity for Batsmen protections.

Dude. Can you please just have a thread titled 'lokomotiv's ideas' or something similar. We don't need a new thread for every half baked theory that you have every couple of days.

If the batsmen take a run and the fielder throws the ball at the stumps, hits and it ricochets away, the batsmen are allowed to run. The idea is that fielders shouldn't be penalised for a 'good' bit of fielding.

Me, the term 'good' bit of fielding is subjective. Yeah the bloke hit but having a ping at the stumps shouldn't, in my opinion, be risk-free. Its a nice addition of a touch of luck to the game and I don't think every potentially unfair thing should be legislated out of existence.
