    Chris Gayle's T20 record

Blogs: Chris Gayle forces the pace of change | Cricket Blogs | ESPN Cricinfo

Just looking at the data you can't help but he in awe over his record - surprisingly he failed in big bash recently. But wow he's so ahead of the pack.. I think he may have taken T20 as his life line when WI dropped him and he hugged that lined and never looked back.

Whats Gayle's rep like in the WI I wonder? I've heard a few WI fans and they seem to hate him. I think the reason is that they reckon he's a mercenary with the honour of WI cricket way down on his list. Is he that hated?

He's well respected by everyone in Jamaica but his support does not end there. He's a dominating player so obviously WI fans will enjoy seeing him stand up for WI. And as for those who dislike his mercenary status there are even more who support him for it.
It's a political thing and less about him as a player.

National pride in the West Indies takes a whole new meaning. This was highlighted by the captain of T&T when they came for the Champions' League.
    "Talent is nothing without opportunity"
"You're not remembered for aiming at the target, but hitting it"

    Twenty20 used to be boring.
