    Best T20 XI

So with the IPL coming up who do you think would make up the best XI of T20 players in the world?

    Shane Watson (as an all-rounder)
    Lasith Malinga
    Saeed Ajmal
    M.S. Dhoni as wicketkeeper?

    Chris Gayle?
    Murali Vijay?
    Shaun Marsh?
    Michael Hussey?

IMO, you need at 4 specialist bowlers, a bowling all rounder who can hold the bat pretty well, and preferably two batsmen who can roll the arm over for a jammy over or two of darts. That comes out with something like:

    1. Chris Gayle [8]
    2. Shane Watson [5]
    3. Brendon McCullum *+
    4. Marlon Samuels [7]
    5. AB de Villiers
    6. Yuvraj Singh [6]
    7. Jos Buttler
    8. Mitchell Starc [1]
    9. Sunil Narine [4]
    10. Lasith Malinga [2]
    11. Saeed Ajmal [3]

    12th Dale Steyn

With Watson, Gayle, Yuvraj and Samuels, I reckon you can get away with ignoring the bowling all-rounder at 7 I spoke about and go with the extra bat. Went with Buttler because he's ridiculous when he fires and the top 6 should be good on their own more often than not to cover for some inconsistency.

So tempted to pick Dernbach to take the piss though.

Surely McCullum is only really an option when he opens - seems silly putting him in a specialist middle order position when he doesn't do it?
marc71178 - President and founding member of AAAS - we don't only appreciate when he does well, but also when he's not quite so good!

Yeah, but he tends to bat 3 with Guptill and Rutherford opening now. Could re-shuffle to get him in there and everyone moves down a slot. That would work relatively well actually.
