He could, I'm not really sure. I just looked at one of the links Brockers provided and it had Hartley named at 7 in a warmup so that was good enough for me. Moller and Kemp are both opener options too and Neser and Feldman will be amongst the squad you would imagine, perhaps Ben McDermott too.

Thanx Nufan, found picking WA squad bereft of Marsh,Voges,N C Nile andJohnson quite hard.Thought someone would complain about Rimmington and North in my line up.
Anyone know where Travis Birt is this summer, other than Hurricanes.
Hartley averaged over 30 for qld last year, top average from what can remember.

Birt retired from First Class and List A cricket to whore himself out to T20 teams across the world all year round. He'll probably play some grade cricket in Perth at times but he'll spend most of the summer chasing T20 tail.

It seems to be becoming more popular for players to work on the T20 seasonal harvest trail

    Brisbane Heat
Pete Forrest whacked 70 off 73 balls today for Qld in a 50-over trial against South Aussie and the man with the cult following, Chris 'Strawbs' Sabburg took 3-40 with his spinners. Matty Gale also continues to warm up nicely for India with 3-33. The boys have another match at Redlands on Friday.

Some of the guys jumping on the T20 gravy train are never going to see money like that anywhere else.

Wouldn't surpeise me if Birt plays for WA in the Ryobi,no T20 on,Ben Edmonsen did a similar thing 2 years ago, after signing just for a T20 side.

With the English bid I said: Let us be brief. If you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you will get my vote. They then became sad and left

Is Tremain in the XI or 12th man, Brockley ? Notice you only put 11 names for NSW. Suppose Rohrer comes in if you want to strengthen the batting. Or Abbott as another all-rounder. Or Bollinger for extra seamer.

Looking at the Redbacks most recent pre-season game v QLD they were going...

Miller, Cooper, Ludeman, Ferguson, Head, Ross, Botha, Richardson, Sayers, Mennie, Putland

Obviously Klinger in for Miller & McDonald in for Head or one of the bowlers.

    Zampa & Worrall also there.
