Indeed left-arm seamers do seem to do a job, still think it's a shame Sidearse didn't stay as a t20 specialist for England.

Just makes sense in a game where people need to hit from the start to mess about with the angle of delivery. Obviously if you have decent bowlers to do it. LidL been a bit found out this year I think, but still would be happy with any of those four in the squad.

Even Wagg and Rob Taylor have taken wickets this year, but they're probably not going to make it for England. Even though I don't think I've seen Taylor play. Scottish though.
Yes I don;t think Liddle is good enough either, just included him in the list because he's always towards the top of the list in the T20. Yes I saw Taylor play a little while ago. Looks strong with a decent run up ... and then bowls at about 70mph fairly straight with the keeper up so I wouldn't be putting any hopes into him yet. Shame that county cricket is such that is often better to do that than really put effort in and bowl mid 80s.

Topley and WIlley are the obvious prospects. Topley with the height, swing and bowls some decent cutters. Willey with the wippy action and the batting. Gurney might be the guy they were to go with if they had to pick one at the end of the season imo as he is a bit more developed.

Swann isn't a very good T20 (limited overs in general really) bowler, and Dernbach is a good T20 bowler. His problem is that whilst his economy rate in T20 is nearly the same as most other top quick bowlers in ODI's is obviously embarrasing.. White was on loan to Northants until Notts saw how well he was bowling. Willey is a decent prospect, not a bit fan of Gurney. Seems a pretty straight up and down bowler. Finn over Woakes is probably the correct shout on reflection. Trego is a big talent, was him or Stokes for me.

When are any international T20s? Between 10 Ashes Tests? There's as much chance of Jimmy playing as there is him walking on the moon.
Well, that's more a side that I want to be going forward towards the next World T20. They can pick whoever they want for the T20's v Australia this year. Anyway, the idea of Anderson not playing because of the tests doesn't really hold when the more injury prone Broad will be captaining.

Warwickshire Somerset tonight. Should be a real good game because both teams need to win to go through.

Can't see Glos doing Durham a favour by beating Glamorgan. We've been trash this season in the t20.

I'd be amazed if Jimmy plays any other international cricket other than tests versus Australia until next summer. No need to risk him in one dayers or T20's. Let Bresnan and Finn play the majority of those games with other bowlers to make the numbers up. Broad to play as and when depending on his fitness.
He should play some of the ODI leg in Australia because of the World Cup.

That's a bit of a rubbish dismissal from trego.
Was a bit of a rubbish innings.

Good for sending in Compo now, it's what he's paid for after all. We fell apart a bit last match when we mucked about the order.

Honestly, that's not a 6, that boundary is silly.

Yeah I assumed he was about to hold out. Bit of a double edged sword for the batsman now though. They've got to get a pretty big score to safely defend it given the pitch and boundary.
Yes, 200 a minimum, really need a Jos-special here.

*insert they still want Compton in joke*

Meanwhile Glamorgan not going brilliantly against Gloucestershire. Both these teams will be pleased with that.

Damn, you beat me.

More importantly, Glos have some bloke called Shrewsbury playing, not there's a classic cricket name, if a **** Town.

Still think we're massively below par here. Pitch has a bit of un-evenness about it, but think we're going to do well to win this.

Kieswetter's actually more of a worry than Compton at the moment, who is at least trying to get things going. Kiesy is just trying to get singles every ball.

I wonder what the thinking is in the Somerset camp. Kieswetter has seemed to play the role of accumulator a lot, but with Jones and Compton also in the top four, I can't help but feel that a more aggressive approach wouldn't be amiss. Especially when you risk having four overs left and Hildrith and Buttler still in the sheds.
