Overton looks to have a yard and gets good bounce and seam movement. Accuracy obviously not there consistently yet though.

Funny how they're still wondering why Overton wasn't given the new ball even when he's getting spanked for nine an over....

I like how Scaly has decided Lewis Gregory is going to be his latest player to relentlessly talk trash about.

Jarvis should make his debut for us in place of Chapple this week - we have also dropped Gareth Cross for Alex Davies. A win would ensure promotion and almost guarantee the title

Well no, he's not.
Agreed, not unsurprisingly, perfectly promising looking bowler, still only 21 and has decent figures in all forms.

Yes, he's been a bit of a disappointment, considering all the hype, but I'm just putting that down to the hideousness of where he was born.

Honestly, believe him and the Overtons could be a very decent and contrasting attack for Somerset in a few years time.

His batting though is the terrible thing, the fact is that I'm sure he was touted as a batting all-rounder for much of his youth, but it just hasn't happened. A shame, but I kind of agree with Scaly that he shouldn't be batting at 6, let Chawla do it or anyone else. Needs to relax down the order and maybe he could score a few 30 or 40s and come on from there.

International Vice-Captain
Aneesh Kapil released by Worcester (along with Michael Johnson). Imagine Kapil gets picked up somewhere.

Dom Sibley meant to be debuting tomorrow for Surrey. Tough first game against Somerset with it being must win for both teams.

Joe Root schooled for a bit in South Africa. Of all places in the Free State but at least it was at an English first language school St Andrews Bloemfontein. Probably the only one in Bloemfontein. :D

Sadly he is probably getting paid a lot more to play for our 2s than he would have been playing for Zim in tests.

Having said that, he isn't playing for our 2s today he is twelth man. The 2s are playing in the 2nd XI trophy final , slightly trolling the competition by playing Moore, Croft, Brown, Cross, Lilley & Parry in the side,

Hoggard retiring then and Harmy bound to follow. Suspect that Simon Jones will finally give it up as well come the end of the season as well, feels like they all retired a long time ago.

Our season well and truly over but good to see Vince and Dawson going well. Adams had a ridiculous season, 7 ducks and two double tons.

Michael Roberts has been really disappointing since coming into the team, hasn't taken his chance at all.
