Somewhere in the middle ground is the truth. He isn't close to first name on the team sheet, and his biggest CT contribution was in a loss but he also should be in the team without question.

Coles joining Hampshire on loan. Fairly happy with that, has obviously had a rather difficult year, but if he performs well would like to see us get him on a long term basis.

Sorry but what use is a middle/lower order batsman who you know is going to bottle it at the end? The rest of his game does not make up for that and it has a big impact on a team when you lose matches like the CT final because of him smacking a long hop to a fielder.

If he's not fit to bowl then Ravi should not make the side at full strength AFAIC. Obviously England won't be anywhere near full strength for this series so it's fine, but he shouldn't be getting in ahead of Cook, Bell, Trott, Root or Morgan and England certainly shouldn't be looking to get ten overs out of Root and Trott every game. And that's before we even factor in Pietersen.

Lancs rocketing along again - Reece taking his chance has been awesome for us, opener has been a real problem. 404@67 since he came into the side be nice if he can go on and get a ton before the end of the season.

No Katich today though (back spasm) so middle order lacking somewhat

Will have a great chance today, Hampshire just not very good at four day cricket. Brad Taylor making his debut at 16, had a tricky start but hope he goes well.

Moeen Ali has had a fantastic season, you would have thought that he would be considered for the 1 day squad

He will surely go with the Lions Squad

Worcester have had a quiet season and i think mid table will be a good finish for us, to allow us to bulid for next year where we do need a bit more experience but the younger players have done well in testing times.

A better overseas player would be nice Sammy has not been great

Probably will go with the Lions yes, but intrigued as to why you think he should be considered for the one day squad as that is far from a fantastic record.

What has Rankin done?
Not really a fair comparison; England's fast bowling depth in limited overs cricket is decidedly worse than their batting depth. Moeen probably is a better one day cricketer than Rankin but unless he plans on somehow converting his batting and spin bowling talent all into fast bowling ability so he can take the new ball then it's not particularly relevant.

Two wickets for the other Ravi. Looks a good prospect when he's played.

The way Somerset and Surrey are going you could see them both going down and Derbyshire staying up now. Both have a load more quality than Derbyshire but that hasn't stopped them being awful.
