Could be a really good end to the season in division one.

Where's Joe Sayers when you need him eh?

Looks like weather could rob the Bears of a fantastic victory at Headingly

Will have to get these out in the next 5 overs and then bat very well to chase there score.

2 and half hours to chase 174 - should be achievable?
marc71178 - President and founding member of AAAS - we don't only appreciate when he does well, but also when he's not quite so good!

Yeah Boyd has wrapped up the tail perfectly and the early tea break gives us a decent shout now. We are probably out of contention for the title but at least we are giving it a decent go. I really don't understand what is going on with Javid? We bat him 8 and he doesn't bowl....

Specialist fielder? Guess it's the number of all rounders that can bat better than him.

Wouldn't discount anything regarding the title if the bowlers stay fit to be honest.

Draw nailed on now as its raining again. He has a rubbish arm though, thats what I don't understand. I honestly think cricinfo may have scored it wrong and given Patel some of his overs.

Pleasantly surprised to see this kind of performance from Ballance. Had no support and was against a good attack in seaming conditions. Probably the first real example of him being international standard after a lot of cash-in knocks.

    The bowling's worse.

Took us a full hour for us to do the standard collapse from whatever it was for 3 overnight to all out. Woeful. Didn't even try and bat out for the rain in the afternoon.

3 ODIs in Zimbabwe aside, Australia have nothing scheduled next summer. Pakistan have literally nothing either.

Ed Cowan is an obvious choice. Not sure he'd really improve the batting to the extent that Alviro could though.

Shane Watson is the obvious choice. Natural leader, and a bowler who opens the batting?

Don't think there's a county side that Watson wouldn't enhance tbf. Smashed it at Taunton in June.
