I hope Warks lose because of Evans' spikes more than anything.

    Alfonso too good

Will inevitably get paddled in the quarter finals, but much better that Durham make it than the Welsh minor county. Would have topped things off nicely if after the numerous England selectorial shaftings that points deduction took us out of a QF place as well.

One in four and Somerset are through baring a no ball or wide. Incredible.

This is supreme death bowling. Blockhole blockhole blockhole, can afford the odd change up, but that's pretty much it. Evans isn't really versatile enough to deal with them.

    Pretty decent death bowling that.

See Jos said he didn't know whether he would be at Somerset next year in the after match interview. Sounds like he is gone tbh

Another entertaining evening at Edgbaston. I thought we had it there but supreme death bowling, Laurie Evans really should have got across his stumps instead of trying and missing the same chop to 3rd man four times in a row. Still a great way for the old timer Maddy to sign off. Varun Chopra has some explaining to do though bowling Maddy 3 overs and Rankin only 3 overs! 3 - 9 - 2 and he doesn't bowl him out. Cost us the game in the end.

Can't say I blame him, if he's not going to keep for Somerset then he's harming his international chances.

He'd get plenty of chances to keep and bat up the order at Edgbaston....

Buttler not the only one who could be leaving Somerset. Surrey I reckon would be nailed on if he doesn't re-sign with Somerset. Be a bitter blow to lose Compton and Buttler. Compton in the short term would be the bigger blow imo with Trescothick seeming to lose some of his bite.

Agree that Compton would be the bigger blow as well. Buttler doesn't keep for Somerset and is a mediocre first class batsman. Great finisher in the shorter formats, but it's not like Somerset don't have others. Will likely miss chunks of the season through England duties as well. There's little substitute for FC runs though. And with Suppiah having retired and Tres on the decline it could end up being a really destructive year for Somerset's top order. Probably need to retain Petersen for next season.

Roy is so **** for someone who seems talented.

No doubt the Napier fanboys will be in full swing tonight. Poor T20 til now and then turns up on sky and takes 2 wickets in first over.
