Michael Clarke is just not very good

Ok, so, he's the hot topic right now, and everyone is falling over themselves to praise him. However, the cogency of the claims made about how wonderful he is are extremely doubtful. The notion that he is in any way a true world class batsman is nothing but a complete and utter falsehood. His recent high scores might draw attention, but it'd be hard not to repeatedly top score as he has done, when the rest of the batting lineup is so horribly frail. Quite honestly, I suspect Brad Haddin would have been able to achieve similar results, if he had been picked as a stand alone bat.

He doesn't get to bat against any decent bowlers anymore - If England were to recall Steve Harmison for the back to back Ashes series Clarke wouldn't get more than 80 runs in the whole 10 matches

Also, a nickname like 'pup' means he's inevitably going to be insipid. No bite at all.

That was copied and pasted from Phil Hughes 3 point homework presentation after the 2nd Test.
