Your own "I was there" moments

People often claim to be have been somewhere they weren't in the case of a great historical moment. For instance about 100,000 people seem to claim to have been amongst the 5,000 or so on the last day at Headingley in 1981.

What is your own genuine "I was there" moment.

The one I still brag about most is Viv Richard's 189 not out at Old Trafford in 1984 in the 1st ODI of that summer.

I was there when Guptill actually scored an international century.

I was there when Buffalo Park had a power issue and the match was stopped for an hour as a result.

With the English bid I said: Let us be brief. If you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you will get my vote. They then became sad and left

Saw NZ chase 350 to win an ODI in Hamilton, including Hayden's Australian-record 181* and McMillan scoring NZ's fastest ton.

Saw Steve Waugh get out without adding to his overnight total after the famous 4 on the last ball to bring up his ton at the SCG.

Gilly and Vaughan cracked excellent tons though that day.

And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta
