Best thing Lyon is doing is keeping Doherty and Beer out of the test team and he deserves respect for that. Must be able to sing too bcos I think he's a pretty shaky member of the team to be given the team song.

You seem to randomly bring that up a lot though; it's weird. It's just one bloke's opinion; doesn't deserve so much attention.

It's more a commentary on how little Burgey rates Swann than him thinking Lyon is world class anyway; I reckon I rate Lyon more than Burgey does.

Yeah it's a combination of both tbh. I think Lyon is a good bowler and would have some pretty eye catching numbers for a young finger spinner playing here if he had a keeper in his side.

Swan is the most monumentally over rated player on earth IMO. Has a couple of good years but is apparently brilliant because people think he's funny and because he has a stupid looking chin.

Look, I'm trying to make it the modern day Nasser Hussain/Matthew Hayden. Don't derail my campaign.

**** I was expecting heaps of trolls and uninformed mongs chiming in with comments along the lines of "Lyon is a badder bowler than everyone cos he sucks at doing cricket." That's roughly the quality of 2/3 of posters on cricinfo.

I'm appreciating the level of knowledge and understanding displayed here during my brief stay so far. Should have joined ages ago instead of spamming the ****e out of my only mate who has a hint of interest in cricket. He's well and truly grown tired of my incessant rants on cricketing minutiae.

I spam the **** out of two specific mates (who know a lot about cricket tbf) but CW gives a far wider range of opinions (and one of my mates bags me about Kohli 24/7 and calls him Lohli)*. Its a great place.

Welcome.

* said mate has a long-term bet with me re: Kohli vs. Chandimal. Said mate is not a Lankan either, just loves Chandimal.

Lyon rips it enough on Australian pitches.

He also gets good bounce, that all bodes well for being a decent bowler in India imo.

I reckon it will be between Ojha and Lyon for the top wicket taker.

Calling it now, Lyon will be Australia's highest wicket taker in England.

You are either predicting England 4-0 or 5-0, or you've gone bonkers.
