4 "narine"s at the same time in the team?

Noble One 18-02-2013 02:53 AM

Chanderpaul to replace Chanderpaul.

Spikey 18-02-2013 02:54 AM

i like to think he's using one of Shiv's old bats

flibbertyjibber 18-02-2013 02:58 AM

I can't wait for the mistakes by old duffers like Blofeld trying to say his name. Shame Brian johnston isn't still around, he'd probably just call him satsuma.

I'm not sure if copying a tweet you saw is a good enough idea for a thread itbt.

Has there ever been a father and son playing together in test cricket?

stumpski 18-02-2013 08:42 AM

No ... the shortest gaps between careers is about three years I think (Lance and Chris Cairns). It has happened in county cricket though. Have Chanderpaul senior and junior appeared together for Guyana yet?

Reckon this could happen. Don't seem to be any signs of Shiv hanging up his boots yet, so you never know...

On a related note, Shiv Chanderpaul has to be one of the most under-rated Test cricketers ever. Still has beautiful hands.

EDIT: Under-rated by fans, I mean. I'd bet his opponents feel differently.

The way he is not talked about you would think he did not have 10,000 test runs at better than 51 per dismissal.
