TLW ODI Draft - matches 3 & 4 voting

Hello all

We have done a ODI draft on our forum and we are looking for you experts to vote who is the best, so we can have some neutral opinions. Your votes will be added to ours to hopefully find a winner.

The rules were as follows:

Quote:
1) The draft selection will go in the following order:

Selection 1) Team 1, then Team 2, Team 3...etc to Team 16

Selection 2) Team 16, then Team 15, Team 14... etc to Team 1

Selection 3) Team 1, then Team 2, Team 3...etc to Team 16

Selection 4) Team 16, then Team 15, Team 14... etc to Team 1

etc etc...

2) There will be a time limit on selections. When it is your turn you have 24 hours from when the previous Team have made their selection. If you miss you turn you go twice on your next turn.

3) When you have made your pick, please PM the next team in the draft order to let them know it's their turn.

4) Each team will have 11 players and you must have a wicket-keeper and captain.

The balance of the side is up to yourselves, but during the voting process balance should be important (having specialist opening batsmen etc. should be important).

5) You can pick any player who has played in an International ODI Match. The first ODI was played on 5 January 1971, so it is from that date to present.

Could you all be as kind to vote for which two teams you think will win the following matches (match 1 & 2 will come at a later date):

Write ups were done on our forum to explain selections. We didn't think you'd need to know all that, but if you wanted to read it then you can here:

Yeah Lifetime Fan's is top banana here. Excellent depth in both bowling and batting. A couple of questionable selections like Perera but they're all players I like.

It also has the added bonus of getting Andy Flower to open and calling his wicketkeeping "magnificent", which I'm sure no one in their right mind would question

There are two matches. If you could please pick one from match 3 between Yozzer vs Lifetime Fan and the other is Match 4 between Aussie Scouser and LFD.

The forum is The Liverpool Way, which is a football forum for LFC.

I did a Test Draft a while ago and put it on here to see what you all thought. This time we are going to use your votes, as the only people who voted in ours last time really were the ones that took part.

Hopefully you guys being cricket experts should help us pick the winner and offer a neutral opinion.

I will do all the voting threads, we had to start with match 3 and 4, due to me not getting all the information for the first match yet.

Tough choice between Scouser and LFD.

LFD has the better batting with only Garner as the outstanding bowler, whereas Scouser has the better bowling. I think Scouser wins this because Steyn, Lilliee, Murali and Akhtar are capable of blowing away any side.

Would you not say Botham is outstanding?

He was good but I wouldn't call him outstanding. Has a decent ER, but average a bit too high for my liking. Whereas the other team has Murali, Lillee and Akhtar. Steyn might not be as good in ODI's but with a good attack around him, I think he would do a lot better.
