New Feature: Ali Bacher: The man for all seasons

Marius

International Debutant
Nice piece David.

The South African cricket administrators were stuck between a rock and a hard place in the 1980s. As you say, they were broadly against the NP and its apartheid policies, there was a real fear that cricket would die in the country if there was no international competition.

Like all men, Bacher had his faults, but on balance he did more good than bad.
