Australia's first series post-Hussey, so who should they take to replace him? Additionally, it sounds like Maxwell will not be making the trip as a specialist spinner, so the second tweaker behind Lyon could prove an interesting selection.

Watson wants to go back to the top of the order, so pressure will be on Cowan to justify his inclusion. By the time we hit the Ashes, the order may well have drastically changed again.

Jono 15-01-2013 04:25 PM

Going to be in India around then and will be attending either the Hyderabad or Chennai test

Jono 15-01-2013 04:40 PM

Wait a minute, they've revised the schedule. Wtf? Hyderabad and Chennai were to be the last two tests.

Makes things trickier.

Dan 15-01-2013 04:44 PM

Yeah, they moved it around a little. I don't know my Indian geography particularly well, but it sounds like they wanted to make the travel a little easier or something.

Here's the article on Cricinfo.

Heard that **** jono is coming over, moving tests around, hope nobody else minds

benchmark00 15-01-2013 05:11 PM

Not sure anyone cares where Jono will be.

Cabinet96 15-01-2013 05:12 PM

I assume they wanted the Southern tests closer to winter and the Northern tests closer to spring. Makes sense if that's the case.

Contra 15-01-2013 05:30 PM

yeah the season change might have a bit to do with it, probably not a good idea to be playing in chennai in march-april may lol.

I'm grateful he won't be here.

Spikey 15-01-2013 05:32 PM

it's all because australia were shook bitches and demanded that one ground be stripped of their test match. who do they think they are

Mister Wright 15-01-2013 05:52 PM

I'll be surprised if Australia even look like winning one test.

The last tour of India ended Hauritz's career, I can see this tour ending Lyon's.

GotSpin 15-01-2013 06:32 PM

Reckon we'll win this tbh

If I attend a test match Australia beating India is a lock. Have only attended losses.

Prince EWS 15-01-2013 06:39 PM

Did you schedule your trip to India around the original schedule or was it just a coincidence? Would seriously suck if it was the former.

it won't end Lyon's career, but himself and Cowan breaking down with injury right now mightn't be the worst thing
