Clarke's spin is as good as anything Doherty can serve up so I'd rather we stick with our strength and have 3 pacemen not 2.

Greg Matthews did it for a while. Long term his bowling wasn't up to it, but his batting certainly was.

He's a bit like Watson in his earlier days. Doesn't do enough with it to be a front line bowler at international level. Handy enough though.

Hits the deck hard, and his stump to stump line could be handy on a 5th day pitch. From what ive read so far about the tour games he seems to have been producing some reverse swing which is a fair surprise as personally i've never seen him get much movement in australia

EDIT: definatly more likely to take wickets than flogwell
