Uzzie's just as crap against spin as everyone else afaic.

Is there anyone in Australian cricket apart from Clarke that knows how to play spin?
tbh steve smith plays spin pretty well, not at the level of clarke but better than some of these other mongs

why's damien martyn going on about clarke doing a hamstring on twitter

imagine clarke/watson out for the next test, who the **** captains
Wade, given he captained the first tour match ahead of Warner.

Please, please God let Clarke be ok

Warner didn't play that game though.

Warner would be most likely to captain, if of course they don't fly someone like Bailey over.

Honestly it's just painful watching Hughes against spin, the guy just doesn't have a clue in these conditions, and really it personfies the whole top order, it's counting on Warner and Watson being aggresive early but thats failed and now Clark is having to do another repair job, how long that lasts with Wade at the crease though is anyones guess,

I think Australia had a false sense of security after beating Sri-lanka, the top order made runs against a feeble attack but this is a whole new ball game now and it's not looking good.

Happy memories of that night at the SCG with the Bevo four off the last ball v WI. What we would give to have him now.

Personally I'd give Cowan, Watson, Hughes, Wade, Doherty out of this line up.

Unless there are injuries to Starc and Johnson that we dont know about, the selection has to be one of the greatest Hail Mary's of recent times and I would've thought that Clarke was smarter than this

On the face of it, our attack can be summarised as follows

Pattinson will likely be the best seamer on show but cant do it all himself

Siddle is a good bowler but looked well short of it in the first test

I can see Doherty doing "relatively" better than some predict but he isnt test standard

Mo cant be expected to do too much more with the ball than he did in the first test

Maxwell is just ****

So basically we are praying that Pattinson doesnt get injured, Siddle regains form and someone can bowl at the other end without getting smashed
Word is that Clarke got rolled by the others. Worrying if true.

Will be interesting to see how long the pitch behaves like this before it starts to crumble. If it's any length of time they'll be kicking themselves for not going with Starc.

It's frustrating to watch catches come up short. Happened on a few crucial occasions in the England series too. It seems rarer to see the fielders/wk miss catches because they are standing too close at least in India. If most of the misses are in one direction you have to think they are standing too far.

I swear it was just the other day when everyone was going on about how good it was that Clarke finally got over the 50 average mark, now the **** is climbing up to 54.

Hughes got one not out where it looked out. Anyway, that last one wasn't out.
The Sharma one? The angle from around the crease was extreme...how could any umpire possibly be confident that was not going down leg?

Umpires should never give those out unless the ball straightens significantly and that did not straighten whatsoever.
