With the tests locations switching around, it will depend whether I still go to Chennai or Hyderabad and just head there earlier for the 1st or 2nd tests, or alternatively stick with my original timeline, and go to the Mohali or Delhi test. If Sachin could hurry up and announce this as his last series it would make my decision easier, as I'll just choose Delhi and tell the family to **** off I won't be visiting.

But if Lyon gets dropped, who will lead out team song!
I believe we'll see this squad: Clarke (c) Watson (vc) Warner Cowan Hughes Bailey Wade Siddle Starc Pattinson Lyon Johnson Bird DHussey Beer |

I'd be surprised if Hilf missed the touring party. Not that I think he should absolutely be there, but I'd be surprised.

I would rather have SoK, Boyce or Zampa in there ahead of Beer.
With SoK you have the same bowler, but he can bat. Boyce and Zampa are at least promising talents, which is more than we can say for any other spinners around the place. It isn't because I rate them at all - I definitely don't. It's more about how little I rate Michael Beer. |

I would seriously consider picking Krejza as a specialist for the conditions if he wasn't in career-worst form; he's become a complete parody of himself though. It has to be Beer; it's not a good situation but it is what it is. |

becoming a parody of yourself PEWSy given the way they've fallen off Beer lately, it wouldn't surprise me to see a surprising pick eg anyone but beer eg zampa or boyce. |

I reckon the only way Zampa tours is if they decide they wouldn't even bother playing Beer if Lyon was injured. It's possible I guess with Maxwell around but I reckon they'll want a second specialist spinner who is actually a chance of playing so Beer will tour IMO.
