I would have opened with Broad as well truth be told.

...what's wrong with that? Especially if he explicitly says he's talking about the first over?
I'm always suspicious of shops that sell bait.

Nothing really. It's just funny. It wasn't even a particularly bad over.

Little bit of seam movement early on, and a bit of swing too. Not expecting much from Fulton here, if he can see off a dozen overs I will think of that as something of a success.

We going to have to watch Fulton all session here? Can he just get out already.

Can't watch at the moment so the usual questions; much in the pitch, bowlers bowling well?

Hmmm - Boycs isn't convinced at all about that on TMS. And unless we start to make some inroads then he may well be right. He's also saying that Finn should be on, and I reckon he's right about that as well. Not much point in him being in the side if we don't give him the new ball.

Pitch is a little quicker than Dunedin and Wellington (not that that's saying much) without a a lot of sideways movement. Anderson and Broad have been okay without looking too threatening while Fulton's once again looks like a walking wicket. Early doors, but could well be a good toss to lose for NZ.

Rutherford really needs to develop a pull shot. He is missing out on a lot if runs on the legside.
