ye olde "I walked into a door" excuse.
And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW
Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta
I recon if Pakistan win the toss they should come out and bat positively, the pitch is expected to be extremely dry, and its not the Protea bowlers has gotten used to recently. They have to put the bowlers under pressure.
Peterson might have an important role to play in this test.
...so might Ajmal. if Junaid doesn't play i think Pak will go with 2 spinners.
I hope they do away with Gul and Rahat and bring in Irfan and Rehman
so the beginning of the end for Pakistan.........
toss taking place now.....Graeme Smith to win the toss
Sa won the toss and will bowl first. SA team, as expected unchanged.
so Graeme Smith wins the toss and bowls first
Tanvir and Irfan playing
Misbah: "We would have batted first anyway. Junaid Khan and Rahat are injured. Tanvir Ahmed and Mohammad Irfan are playing. Our target is to lose less wickets in the first few hours."
good comment from cricinfo
"How about not losing wickets at all? That should be the mindset."
reports from my friends in cape town are that it's overcast. Smith is relying on Dale and Vern to take early wickets.
So, today we have the first ever 7 foot Test cricketer, will be interesting to see how he goes. How long are South Africa going to carry Elgar around like a spare part at number 7 I wonder? Seems odd for a side that used to be spoiled for choice wrt all-rounders.
