****Official****Pakistan in South Africa

Disciplined batting by Misbah and Shafiq but both are lucky to be still at the crease. Match could have easily been over by now had Philander not overstepped...

I reckon Pakistan will get bowled out 10 overs after lunch tomorrow if there are no rains

You never know, anything can happen. Personally hoping for the next 2 days to be washed out so we get a draw. :)
Really? Why wouldn't you want Pakistan to just bat the next day and a half for a famous victory instead.

It would have been interesting if Pakistan had even one more specialist batsman in place of Rahat Ali's duck and 25 overs, no wickets for 100 runs.

Obviously that is what I want but realistically the chance of that occurring is slim.

Nice to see the Pakistan batsmen show a bit of fight, however I feel as soon as the new ball comes, the match is as good as over.

these sort of little fightbacks are inevitable.
some of the batsmen learn from their mistakes, while bowlers are probably more relaxed and less fired-up.

the true test is always when the game is still alive.

tis true but its also important that these batsman are spending some tme on the crease which might give them confidence for next two games. Holding everything constant Sa is a vastly superior team to Pakistan especially at home but Pakistan has not been helped by PCB's ill panning having last played a test match 200 days back and with just one warm up at a sluggish east london track was always going to leave Pakistan undercooked for the first test.

I will take this as a positve that Nasir, Misbah and Shafiq will have a score behind them when they play the 2nd test.

**** me what a ball from Philander. Angled it in towards leg stump, seamed away to just miss the off stump. Would've taken a better batsmen's edge, Gul is lucky he tried to glance it down to the legside.

AB is the first player in history of test cricket to take 11 dismisals as a wicket keeper and get a 100.
Also, only the second wicket keeper to take 11 wickets.
