So SA just before being banned were about same as SA now. Hmm...what could have been!

Once again, very interesting work, DoG

Think this is explained by the fact that DoG's system can't see in the future. If you are right in your assessment re India's standing, they will have poor results in next five years, and then when DoG's system retrospectively rates teams in 2013, India might be lower.

if I am not mistaken this is the time when SL beat england in one off away test, thrashed them blue and black at home, drew 0-0 away with india and won the home eries with them. And coincides with the ascent of Aravinda Murali and Jaya as well.

wouldn the same period also include the away series win in Pakistan in 1995 for SL?
And smalishah's avatar is the most classy one by far Jan certainly echoes the sentiments of CW

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

    Good work DoG

This information would lend itself to being shown on a graph.

Thanks a whole heap DoG, I was worried that was the case. When I tried looking it up I couldn't find anything else beyond 1912, but its ok. I still found that small snippet a great exercise of the sides back then. Looking forward to your list of bowlers to come.
EDIT forget it sorted it out! Wow some amazing analysis there
