Hussey knows he is useless away from home and would have been dropped after two big overseas tours.
Nah seriously it is good to see a player put his family ahead of cricket and the national team, for once.

MASSIVE loss with the two Ashes series back to back. I'd have though the time to retire would have been after those two series.
Clarke and Hussey have been consistently consistent for us in the last few months, and have rarely failed this summer. This worries me. I'm not sure there's anyone who can successfully replace him (in fact I'm sure there isn't anyone). Batting, fielding, leadership etc. Ouch. |

The ultimate probot batsman, and a loss that leaves the Australian top 6 looking very skinny indeed. Really hope he can bring up his 20th century in his farewell test.
