Vijay Bharadwaj was a decent enough bits and pieces player for India. IIRC he was the man of the series for the series in SA where Joshi bowled 10 overs for 6 runs.
Sujith Somasundar was especially bad. Remember him batting against Mcgrath in the Titan cup and having no clue.
"I want to raise my hand and say one thing. Those who complain about my love for the game or commitment to the game are clueless. These are the only 2 areas where I give myself 100 out of 100."
- Sachin Tendulkar, as told in an interview published in Bengali newspaper Anandabazar Patrika after his 100th International century (translated by weldone)
This would be a lot more fun if you hadn't have limited us to Test cricket.
In fact, how about playing "Six degrees of Sachin Tendulkar?"
You need to find the shortest route between any current cricketer and Sachin, through matches where players have played on the same side. In fact, I think this deserves its own thread. I wonder how many connections I'll have to make between me and Sachin...?

I can manage:
Tendulkar played with Pollock for the Mumbai Indians
Pollock played with Amla for South Africa
Amla played with Mark Sanders for KwazuluNatal
I played with Sanders once in an Exeter Evening League match
That gives me a Sachin number of 4.
(EDIT - Not three. Can't count.)

A friend of mine bowled one ball to Sachin during practice (courtesy well connected father). I have played many a school game with the said friend. Gives me a Sachin number of 2.![]()
Ravindra Pushpakumara played against Sachin for Sri Lanka.
I played against Pushpakumara in a friendly match in Norfolk when I was at uni.
I have a Sachin Number of 2.

Maybe we wouldn't be so quick to fill buckets with filth if we knew they had a soul. Or maybe that's what they're into. Ain't no way to get inside a bucket's mind.
Can't get that close with. Nowhere near that close.
OT, by this criteria I have one degree of seperation with Osama Bin Laden!
I met and interviewed Peter Arnett, who met and interviewed Bin Laden! Crazy.

I played in a school team.
One of my teammates played reps with the Randwick-Petersham grade wicketkeeper.
That wicketkeeper has played with Simon Katich.
Katich played with Irfan Pathan.
Pathan played with Tendulkar.
