I'm afraid as Pak fans we will have to put up with that sort of stuff. Shame really because it's taking away all the credit from the Indian bowlers and fielders who applied themselves really hard to win the match. You could see the emotions as well so sad for all.

Not really bothered by it. Just an award that doesn't mean much. You guys won the match so an Indian player should have got it.

Yeah incredibly dodgy that the Pakistani batting order would collapse chasing a small target. It's unheard of.

Don't FTP shows that there is potential series between India and Pakistan in August this year? Are they confirmed?

Don't think it's confirmed. Doubt it's happening since India won't play in Pak or UAE.

Very strange though that Indian government has banned the BCCI to play a series in UAE. Seems highly political and wouldn't it cause diplomatic issues with UAE.

What is India's objection to the UAE anyway?

If Aus wins in India maybe they'll start to think about doing exactly that.

In the papers in India yesterday it was said that PCB wanted India to Tour Pakistan actually but the BCCI refused.

BCCI has a no series at a neutral venue policy and are reluctant to change that too.

Pakistan is safe for international cricket: Zaka Ashraf

Indian cricket board says no to return tour – The Express Tribune

All sorts of quotes floating around from Zaka Ashraf . Some saying that he has convinced BCCI Pakistan is safe, and some saying that they have proposed India hosting their home series.

Think the latter is likely tbh. The BCCI and PCB will conjure up a revenue sharing model so it counts as a Home series for Pak with majority revenue going there, but is held in India.

If not that then i reckon the series will happen at a neutral venue, unless something changes diplomatically.

Sharjah was banned, not the whole of UAE IIRC.

BCCI is anyways reluctant to play there, but don't think it's banned from the government.

"We have proposed that there be a Jinnah-Gandhi bilateral series where the two sides play every alternate year like the Ashes," Ashraf told TOI in an exclusive interaction. He said BCCI had taken note of the proposal and will soon respond.

Ashraf said PCB has given three proposals for resumption of full-fledged cricketing ties. "First, they come to Pakistan which at the moment may not be possible. Second is neutral venue which BCCI says is against its policy. So, we have given the third proposal that Pakistan play their own home series in India," he said. "For that we have offered to pay the stadium rent and hotel expenses like any host nation. The revenue will come to us like in the case of an Indian home series it will go to India," added Ashraf.

The last time the two teams played a Test series was in 2007-08 in India. The bilateral cricket ties, which were suspended after the Mumbai attacks, resumed with the ongoing series comprising two T20 games and three ODIs. "But we can't restrict ourselves to five matches. We need to take it forward," he said.

While he said that he had not taken up the issue of the participation of Pakistan players in IPL even casually with the Indian board, he said PCB's response would be very positive if any such offer came from the Indian side. "Pehle mezbaan bulaata hai. Aap ki khwaish honi chahiye. But if they ask us, we will surely give a very positive response," he said.

Pakistan playing their home series in India would be something, if that goes through.

Seems likely some arrangement will be reached and the series will go ahead somewhere.

Well that's pretty weird in general, but I don't consider the UAE to be a neutral venue as such anyway. It's Pakistan's set of home venues now. Do they refuse to play in Cardiff? Bit different I know because it's the England and Wales Cricket Board now, but still. It'd be an away match for India and a home match for Pakistan AFAIC which is not a neutral venue.

It just seems to me as if they're making up excuses to not play Pakistan away from home. Definitely a fair enough call on not touring Pakistan itself, I wouldn't tour there either, but if they refuse to play in the UAE because they have a convenient policy they probably dreamed up precisely to get themselves out of that situation then that should count as a forfeit as far as the Test rankings are concerned IMO.
