There are but we were spoilt for a long time. Before Warne, Murali and Kumble there was a long period of crapness apart from Abdul Qadir. It goes in cycles, look at pace bowling after Pollock, McGrath, Waqar etc... only been Steyn as a stand out, do have some promising youngsters now though. Have to wait and see what happens with them.

ATM India can't even play with themselves, they're that bad.

Rank them.

Spinners-
Ajmal, Rehman, Bishoo, Narine, Swann, Monty, Ojha, Ashwin, Lyon, Herath, Shakib, Randiv, Jeetan Patel, Vettori, Harbhajan, Mendis, Sunny, Tahir, Gazi, Afridi ....
(may have missed a potential top 7)

IMO

1) Ajmal
2) Swann
3) Monty
4) Herath
5) Rehman
6) Shakib
7) Ojha

(based on observation, not stats)

This should be fun
Pretty much agree with this.

Ajmal on song seems something quite special though.

Can throw it on a flighted or flat trajectory on or around off stump and can manage to make it go both ways.

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

Can't you now see why we like Swann so much?

Underwood was before my time so I grew up watching ****ing Emburey, Edmonds, Tufnell, Croft and Giles. Swann is leagues above them.

That's like saying 'we like Uvelocity because he's a better poster than Jono'

given the initial post gave no mention of which formats i assume centurymaker means over all formats. In that case Ajmal is a clear no.1, followed by swann as clear no.2. Both good performers over all 3 formats- which can't be said of any of the other bowlers imo.

1. Ajmal
2. Swann
3. Herath
4. Panesar
5. Shakib
6. Rehman
7. Ojha
8. Gazi
9. Lyon
10. Ashwin

Tests, obvs. Narine to climb those rankings with some more 5 day cricket behind him.

I'd erased him from memory.

To be fair, I was mentioning the ones who had 50+ wickets not 5.
