Battle of the Elegance

smash84

The Tiger King
David Gower the best I've seen for batsman.

Hadlee and Steyn appeal to me for bowlers.

I know Smiley likes Khan a lot - but wouldn't regard his action as Elegant. Regal perhaps. But not elegant.
agree, his action was very awe inspiring I would say but yeah probably not something that you would call elegant

Love warne's action. Minimal fuss and very fluid.

Also enjoy watching offspinners bowling around the wicket more than over, they somehow just look better doing so to me :p

On this, Swann has some sort of technical flaw when he goes over the wicket doesn't he?

Zaheer Abbas and Majid Khan were a couple of Pakistani players from the 70s and 80s I remember being pretty elegant players.

Speaking of off-spin: Ramesh Powar's bowling is just gorgeous. Classic, side-on, high-armed offie's action resulting in nice flight and just a hint of drift from the right hander.

His test cap tally is probably forever stuck at two now, but, given Chawla's recall for the 4th, never say never.

Tangles

International Vice-Captain
I only saw him once when he was older (charity game) but Barry Richards looked a very elegant left hander. Made me wonder how good he looked in his prime.

Graeme Pollock would be my nomination. No fuss, simple technique. Very good to watch in those old clips
