Instead of imagining older players kitted up in helmets and chest guards I find the thought of modern players playing without protective gear a much more entertaining thought. Most of them would be toast with their front foot planting and stand-still hook/pull shots IMO

Wasn't number 4 position called the Pollock position? Why is he at 5?

think Pollock at 4 and Nourse at 5 would be ideal fitting in the order. Both played majority in 4th position but Nourse was very successful too at no.5 averaging 82 from 5 matches with a double ton. Also considering the kind of batsmen they were, it would best fit if Pollock came at 4 followed by Nourse in this batting order.
