**Official** New Zealand in South Africa

Bloody hell they have the ball on a string. NZ will do well to make 50 here.

I wonder if SA will get in trouble for the pitch if the game only lasts two days :P

Have we ever lost in two days before?

Hope we make it to days 3 and 4 at least.
1946. Australia refused to play us again for nearly 30 years. Hoping South Africa won't do likewise though every aspiring NZ cricketer would do well to get guide books to Harare and Dhaka as they may not get invited to many other places that often.

McCullum, for the first time since his debut odi series, actually looks scared. So much for the captaincy bringing the best out of his batting.
Yeah, don't often see him scared. This is the same guy that was using the ramp shot to put 155kph Shaun Tait deliveries into the car park.

Long way to go for it to be over in two days but SA batted with enough comfort for the pitch not to be condemned.

The pitch certainly shouldn't be condemned, but the comfort of the SA batsmen was due (in part) to the waywardness and docility of the New Zealand bowlers on day 1.

What score are we expecting NZ to make this innings?

I'm going to go for 164. Robin Peterson will bowl a bit and we'll see a few 30's and 40's mixed with a string of low scorers.

328. McCullum to get a run a ball triple and the rest to hold on by the skin of their teeth. Then Jeets and Jimmeh will mop up the saffers for 25 and all will be right with the world.
