Nah, Southee's only being playing well for a handful of games, and he continues to look vulnerable once the shine wears off. Taylor is proven quality.

If he hadn't of edged it, he would of asked for a review. Guess it shows how inaccurate hotspot can be....

Yeah, didn't think he nicked it at first, but he wouldn't have walked otherwise.

Exactly, Southee (of late) give us the ability to get 20 wickets.

Anyway, not like much was expected from poor ol Martin 'warm sick' Guptill.

Apart from some top catches of course

I'm imagining Jesse Ryder in domestix mode out there right now.

Even if he got Southee'd again it would still be pretty fun.

Anyone else reading the "We support Ross Taylor" Facebook page. Some good laughs to be had.

Ryder is still our most naturally gifted 'batsman' for mine. Also being a left-hander really helps with the balance of the side.

Why can't we have this side for this test

McCullum
Gutpill/Flynn
Williamson
Taylor
Ryder
Watling
Vettori
Bracewell
Southee
Gillespie
Boult

Excellent defence from a top order batsman there. Captains knock.
