Not sure I agree with this. Looking back at the cricinfo commentary, it seems to me that he just wanted to keep bowling NcCullum and Franks for as long as possible because they were going so well. By the time NcCullum was bowled out there was only 6 overs left to bowl, so there was no need for Mills to bowl out.

Yeah but captain cricketweb knows that Mills needs to have bowled out before the 30th over. Not really a problem unique to McCullum though.

Neesham having to bowl the last over while Mills only bowled nine means he ****ed up IMO.

Yep, thought they would win the other night but partly for the reasons I've been outlining, all the run outs etc. notwithstanding.

Interesting decision to bat first from McCullum with both history and the dew factor suggesting otherwise. Du Plessis actually looked stoked to be chasing.

Oh dear, Martin. Not the same player who hit that match-winning T20 ton last month.

Guptill...pity he doesn't have more time to get himself right before the England series. Looks an utter mess even in his preferred format.

Don't get what makes Tsotsobe and McKay so successful in one dayers. So damn effective for no apparent reason.

You mean the one in which he was dropped about 4 times?

Fair amount of swing around for both of these bowlers

Tsotsobe is actually really underrated. Accurate left-armer who swings it back into the right hander and gets awkward bounce. I still reckon he'd have become a decent enough test bowler had philander not burst onto the scene.

Ha, true. Still a quality innings, though.
