Was gonna post about that here.

I like these parts:

Domestic cricket would also be rescheduled to make home Tests the centre piece of the season, and encourage more international players to take part in the Ranji Trophy.
An uncapped player who has not played for India cannot play in the IPL unless he plays 60% of the Ranji Trophy games. So in more ways than one, we are pushing a player to the longer version."

What I would like to see is him addressing the quality of Domestic Cricket (Flat pitches, bad points system, intense scheduling) and actually take some responsibility for India being bad away from home instead of just saying 'everyone struggles so it's okay if we do too'.

He actually did address the flat pitches part, or at least conceded that flat pitches was one of the problems, also I don't think he said its okay to struggle abroad, I think he was just saying that saying "India struggles abroad" is not entirely fair and is expected of all countries to some extent. He also mentioned how there are more A tours being done to help younger players adapt beforehand. There is only so much you can do beyond a point, ultimately its the players who have to play well.

I do think that they pick players for the wrong formats though, Umesh Yadav should be tests only and Rohit Sharma should never play ODIs again.

I suspect the bad points system relates to the way in which first innings points encourage 600 vs 620 first innings, consigning games to draws.

Additionally, I get the feeling that wealthy IPL franchise owners may end up pushing for their T20 specialists to be included in Ranji teams ahead of long-form players, to ensure that they qualify for the IPL.

It's a step in the right direction, obviously, but the cynic in me suggests it may not work.
