Happy to be none down at stumps. Be interesting to see the mindset first up tomorrow.
Probably lucky to be, Cowan was a plumb as you get.
I know. Unique bit of history for Ed there. Never happened before.
Mathews struggling against Lyon was disgraceful for a SL cricketer. He's alright when pacemen bowl, but god awful against spin. Still more a reason why he should open.

Let's try Usman Khawaja for this series.

It would be fascinating to see the reaction within the Australian cricket side if Sri Lanka scrape out of this with a draw. It would be the first time in 20 years that Australia has gone 4 consecutive home Tests without winning, which is a pretty amazing record they've had.
There would be some serious worry and concern about the bowling and injury situation - perhaps getting to the stage where things aren't working under the current regime and changes need to be made. There probably is already.
Having said all that, I still think Australia will win but they really missed a golden opportunity today to put Sri Lanka away cheaply.
when are we gonna start discussing which seamer to pick in the boxing day squad
And I think Wade's hold on the keeper's spot is fairly tenuous at present. It's not just that he missed another stumping, but the way he looks overall. He often seems to struggle to take throws from the deep on the bounce with any ease for example. Overall, he seems to lack real authority in his role and if that continues, the selectors may look elsewhere for the India tour.
