If you take the view this OD squad have picked almost purely with an eye on the Ashes, yep Dussey has to go. think Doherty is saved by the fact all the other spinners are already 'known' at international level, so they'll just let Beer and Lyon play in the shield

What about Big Bash Finals Man of the Match Nathan Hauritz?
Better fielder and batsman compared to Xavier and more likely to take a wicket too. I just think with the amount of changes in the team that goes on, X. Doherty gets a free run. Whenever we make lower scores I want to drop him, because he's not going to help us win the match.

well they already know what they're getting with Hauritz. they'd only call him in if they really want Boyce to get a game for QLD. (and obv Boyce/Zampa are not known, but shouldn't be called in)
