You reckon there was enough evidence to overturn that decision? I'm not sure tbh. Quite possible the benefit of the doubt would have stayed with the batsman given how weak the hotspot signal was.

Think Bird's biggest strength is the bounce he gets. He's tall, but not crazy tall, and gets more bounce for his height than most would.

Well, I think you'd have to have some massive cojones to refer that given it was obvious it hit the thigh guard. There wasn't even the slightest interest shown in reviewing it, so it would have been opportunistic to say the least and, therefore, not a good review (even if the review would have been upheld).
