Pakistan Tour to India in December-January

Quote:
After the Mumbai attacks of 2008 there were many differences and problems between Pakistan and India which effected Trade, Business, Investment and even sports. But after 4 years BCCI invited Pakistani Cricket team to play a tournament on their home ground. The series will consist of two T20 matches and three ODI’s the matches will start from 25th December with a T20 match in Bangalore and will end in Dehli on 6th January 2013.
What do you think who's going to win this time??? Which side do you support?

Would kill for a test series, we've seen them play T20s and ODIs on a few occasions and they were great, but a test would be all kinds of awesome.

Think your turn of phrase is a bit wrong Daemon but I think I know what you mean. Just hope it all goes well and without controversy and leads to more series in the future.

I would like to say that cricket totally depend on that day , that day you are going to play in the field. It is not easy to say that either this team is better or other team is better.

The way the two sides are today, I'd only enjoy watching them in an international tournament, preferably on neutral grounds. Or a Test match wherever. Short form cricket on Indian pitches is just about the most meaningless/boring thing imaginable.

Surely though it is a step in the right direction. If all goes well then next time they may be able to play a 3 match test series as well. Got to walk before you can run and after so long without a test it is a bit much to expect it to happen overnight. Be a welcome return to the calendar if tests between the two do start again.

The series shouldn't be happening. It is a pretence of a normal relationship between the two countries.

Looking forward to the series. Hopefully it improves relations.

AWTA, provided they don't serve up absolute roads as is the tradition.

The 2004 odi series in pakistan was great fun to watch... that first ODI in Karachi was just thrilling stuff...

Would have preferred a test series coz Ajmal vs Sehwag, Sachin etc would have been quite a sight, but ill settle for this. It may seem like pretence but its a step in the right direction atleast. Lets hope it leads to a nice tour in a few years time

Wonder whether they'll still request for turning tracks, since we'll be up against Ajmal

They definitely won't. ODIs will be roads.

If we played tests they'd be roads too. Wouldn't risk Ajmal getting a turner.

Might be tempted to tbh, the Pakistani batsmen were pretty dire against Panesar and Swann in the UAE after all.

Yeah we don't crap in the first world; most of us would actually have no idea what that was emanating from Ajmal's backside. Why isn't it roses and rainbows like what happens here? PEWS's retort to Ganeshran on Daemon's picture depicting Ajmal's excreta

The Indians would worry more about themselves than think about our batsmen's trouble against spin, so they will probably go for roads.
