Hayden Criticises Anderson's bowling

Quote:
"This has been a big incident, hasn't it," Hayden told Triple M Sydney's The Rush Hour, clearly having lost none of his sledging bravura. "In reality, James Anderson was a B-grade bowler who got his arse-whipped by Australia that many times it's not even funny
Very interesting point from one of the greatest opening batsman of all time! Anderson is no doubt a good bowler in English conditions and when the ball in swinging he has proved this a few times now.

The last time England were in India he averaged 53.50 with the ball frankly that is a cause for concern from England's point of view.

Once we see off the new ball he will be very easy for our top order to negiotiate it will be like Matthew Hoggard all over again (with slightly more pace)

Hayden has played some amazing knocks and faced some of the best opening bowlers that the game has ever had, so these comments are very interesting indeed.

Hayden missed the last Ashes series in Australia did he? Well I can see why he'd have wanted to.

Plenty of good quicks have struggled on the baked mud that passes for a cricket pitch in that part of the world. Some of them even Australian.

"Sledging bravura." Words fail me.

Thread closed, for several reasons.

1. You've started heaps of threads about the English tour of India in the last few days and they keep getting merged into the tour thread. Take a hint.
2. This is actually an old article that was already being discussed in another thread: Noted Class Act Jimmy Anderson Knocks Arrogant Michael Clarke Into Place. If you want to talk about Hayden's comments (in context!) then do it in there.
3. You've completely taken that quote out of context and not provided a link to the source. You conveniently left out the part where Hayden said Anderson had improved his bowling (the part you quoted is about what he was like when Hayden played against him; not now), and you also forgot to mention that the comments were in response to an off-field incident anyway.

Frankly, sick of this, and I say that as a member of the mod team. We're all sick of it. This article doesn't even have anything to do with the series you've tried to tie it to here; you just wanted to have a swipe at Anderson and dug up the nearest article to do it with. Stop trolling, seriously. Take this as a final warning. I've decided to make this public so anyone else who has their sights set on transparent trolling threads that quote old articles out of context and tenuously link them to series that already have their own threads anyway can take the hint too. It's not going to be tolerated.
